Services
• Traditional - $250 ($100 of which is to be paid up front)
I offer services for

traditional wedding

s, with special ceremonies in accordance with your wishes or beliefs. Weddings will typically follow the process as described below:

Basic  ~ All services will typically follow this progression. Begins with the procession. After, I give a short statement on

marriage

. As an option, we may perform a family blessing (traditionally, "who gives this woman to be married..."). At this point, the vows and rings are exchanged. A special ceremony (if selected) takes place, followed by my final blessing. Lastly, I make the pronouncement of the newly married couple. Ending the ceremony, I present

husband and wife

.

Unity Candle

~ Before the start of the ceremony as described above, a representative from each family (typically the mothers of the Bride and Groom) each light taper candles. After the vows, the Bride and Groom take the taper candles and, together, light a large pillar/unity candle, symbolizing their unity as a couple.

Sand Ceremony

~ A basic sand ceremony involves three glass vessels. One each for the Bride and Groom, and a single vessel into which the sand will be poured. I will first invite the Groom to pour some of the sand from his vessel into the empty vessel. Then I will invite the Bride to do the same. Finally, they will pour the remaining sand together into the third vessel. As with the Unity Candle ceremony, this is done to symbolize their unity as a couple.

Wine Ceremony

~ This involves two small carafes and larger marriage carafe as well as two wine glasses. Before the ceremony, one small carafe is filled with red wine, the other with white wine, and both are placed next to the large carafe and wine glasses. The Bride and Groom will each take a carafe and pour them into the marriage carafe. The Groom will then pour some of the combined wine from the marriage carafe into a wine glass for the Bride, and the Bride does the same for the Groom. They may toast each other, then sit the glasses down and turn back to me, at which point I will bless the ceremony. After, others may drink from the new wine or Rose wine at the reception.

Of course, if you wish to add or omit anything from the basic

wedding

service, we can customize the ceremony during our initial conference.
Important! Please remember to bring your

wedding license

with you to the ceremony. Otherwise, while the ceremony can continue, you will not yet be legally married. And there will be an additional charge of $50 for me to return to complete the license.

• Traditional & Rehearsal - $350 ($100 of which is to be paid up front)
The only notable difference between this and the Traditional service listed above is that we will recite the performance at a

wedding rehearsal

. For special ceremonies, we will use substitutes rather than the actual wine, etc. If you do wish to perform a special ceremony during your wedding, I highly recommend we include a Rehearsal to ensure a smooth ceremony.
Important! Please remember to bring your wedding license with you to the ceremony. Otherwise, while the ceremony can continue, you will not yet be legally married. And there will be an additional charge of $50 for me to return to complete the license.

Elope

ment - $150 ($100 of which is to be paid up front)

An

elope

ment will be considerably more basic than the traditional services described above. It will include the Bride and Groom and two witnesses. The witnesses will stand on either side of the Bride and Groom, who will stand before me. I will offer a simple blessing, after which your vows and rings will be exchanged. At this point, I will pronounce you husband and wife.
